Lhyfe is present in several European countries and has been actively expanding in the UK since 2022.
As part of our strategic expansion into the UK and Ireland market; we are seeking a Project Development Manager to join our team in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The team is composed of three persons: Boris - Business developer, Adrian – Development Engineer, and Erin
– Development Planner.

Your missions:
Reporting to Taia, Chief business Officer at Lhyfe, as Project development manager, you lead the development phase of green hydrogen production projects from site concept through to Final Investment Decision.
- Lead and manage the development phase of our production plant projects from origination to Financial Investment Decision. Responsible for Project Planning, Budget and Risk assessment.
- Ensuring projects have a strong investment case and are in a ‘buildable’ state for the execution and implementation phases.
- Coordinate the project team composed of representatives of each business unit (Technical, Finance, Legal, Sales, Operations).
- Be Lhyfe’s ambassador to present our projects to local stakeholders (elected officials, authorities, communities, residents, key stakeholders etc.) and obtain local buy in of the projects.
- Identify, negotiate, and secure land agreements to enable the deployment of our renewable hydrogen production plants.
- Identify the planning and permitting route, securing the necessary permits and permissions in line with the regulatory framework that applies to project.
- Identify all services needed for the renewable hydrogen production sites. If required, secure the grid connection and electricity supply in collaboration with our Energy Manager.
- Create and manage robust development documentation for internal reporting, governance, and project handover.
Your profile:
With at least 8 years of professional experience in development of industrial, renewable or land development projects, you lead the development of our project as Project Owner.
You understand the complex interaction between different project disciplines and interdependencies between scope, time, cost and quality. You have experience in controlling administrative procedures (environmental, permits as well as utility connection etc.).
