2017

Lhyfe's first steps

After becoming a father and driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the planet's future, Matthieu Guesné, along with seven co-founders, founded Lhyfe. The project aimed to ensure a better tomorrow through the use of green and renewable hydrogen.

2019
Official launch

Lhyfe raises €8 million in funds from five different public and private investors.
The first employees join the founders, and together they work to set up Lhyfe's first industrial site in Bouin, Vendée.

2020

Commercial Launch

With the installation of the first industrial site near the Bouin wind farm in Vendée, Lhyfe is now operational!
In September, Lhyfe opens its subsidiary in Germany, starting with offices in Cologne, followed by Berlin and Hamburg.

New subsidiaries

Lhyfe opens new subsidiaries in Denmark, the Netherlands, and Sweden.
In September, Lhyfe inaugurates the Bouin site, marking the first 100% renewable hydrogen production facility.
Lhyfe raises €50 million and signs numerous commercial partnerships.

Lhyfe opens its subsidiaries in the UK with offices in Newcastle, and in Spain with offices in Madrid and Barcelona.
In May, Lhyfe goes public and raises €118 million.
In June, Lhyfe celebrates the arrival of its 100th collaborator.
In September, SeaLhyfe is inaugurated, marking the first pilot site for renewable hydrogen production at sea.

New production sites coming

Lhyfe inaugurates the two largest French sites for the production of green and renewable hydrogen in Buléon and Bessières.
Additionally, the foundation stone is laid for the Schwäbisch Gmünd site, in Germany.
The company's growth continues, with the number of employees well exceeding 150.
